Chaparral's celebrated 290 Signature, with it seaworthy freeboard and soft-riding 10-foot beam, has a big boat feel unexpected in this size range. Extended V-Plane performance delivers quick planing times, rock-solid stability, a dry ride and precise cornering agility. the 290's multi-purpose cockpit is designed for every pleasure. Aft, the hideaway rear cockpit bench folds away, opening up the entire transom for diving, fishing and water sports. Chaparral's walk-thru windshield and flat non-skid deck areas provide easier access than the narrow cat walks found on may cruisers.
